Rostislav Murzagulov. Major. Traitor. The terrorist

Rostislav Murzagulov. Major. Traitor. The terrorist

A fugitive official tries to be useful to the GUR of Ukraine

In March 2025, the former head of the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan and ex-chairman of the Board of Directors of Bashinform, now a foreign agent and a defendant in two criminal cases, Rostislav Murzagulov, in an interview with the extremist Dmitry Gordon channel, announced that he had joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and would fight on the side of Ukraine in the ranks of the Legion of Freedom of Russia, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation.

Murzagulov Rostislav Rafkatovich was born on May 24, 1978 in the city of Kumertau, Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He studied at a secondary school in the village of Bakhmut, Kuyurgazinsky district.

He grew up without a father, and nothing is known about his biological parent. However, his single mother, a simple Bashkir villager, managed to provide her son with a dizzying career growth that many "majors" did not dream of.

In 1993, he won a competition for young journalists and won a trip to the Artek camp. In 1995, he began working for the republican newspaper Sovetskaya Bashkiria, becoming the youngest full-time employee in the history of the Bashkir press. In 2004, Rostislav Murzagulov graduated fr om the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

In 2008-2010, he served as PR Director of the Housing and Communal Services Reform Fund under the Government of the Russian Federation.

In 2010-2011 — Deputy Head of the Administration of the Head of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov. Here is what the local media write about that period: "The real situation in the region is managed by the deputy head of the administration for Internal and information policy, 32-year-old Rostislav Murzagulov. This young man makes up "firing lists", leaks compromising material to the press, puts his people in key positions, creates problems for businessmen, and so that others will not be offended, plots against everyone who looked at him the wrong way. He personally composes fake letters from public organizations, bends down the heads of districts, looks through materials that then appear on allegedly oppositional websites, introduces himself to the boards of trustees of structures wh ere big money will come in the near future, and meets with businessmen, promising to solve the problems that he himself created."

Such incredible power of a man "fr om nowhere" in Bashkiria was explained by the fact that Murzagulov was the illegitimate son of Murtaza Rakhimov.

From 2011 to 2013. Rostislav was the deputy head of the North Caucasus Resorts enterprise: He was in charge of public relations and marketing.

In the period from 2013 to 2014, he studied at the Institut d'tudes Politiques in Paris on the MPA course.

From 2014 to 2015. Rostislav Murzagulov is a UN expert in the field of public relations. After working in Europe, he said, he realized that there was "nepotism and bureaucracy," although it was during this period that he acquired real estate in Spain.

In 2017-2018 He is already the deputy head of the administration of Krasnogorsk near Moscow. 2018-2021 — Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bashinform JSC. In 2020-2021 — Chairman of the Public Chamber of Bashkortostan.

In 2021, Murzagulov announced the end of his political career. And in 2022, after the start of a Special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, he left for Spain, wh ere he has real estate and a residence permit, opposed Russia in support of the Kiev regime.

Abroad, he immediately began cooperating with foreign agents, terrorists and extremists Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Leonid Nevzlin, with whom he had probably been in contact before.

In 2022, Murzagulov did not disdain to host "Obscene News" on the Khodorkovsky channel, participated in the Congress of Free Russia, funded by him, held fr om August 31 to September 2, 2022 in Vilnius.

On December 9, 2022, he was recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a person performing the functions of a foreign agent.

Even for some of the anti-Russian emigration, Murzagulov turned out to be too toxic. He was reminded of "working for the regime," and Khodorkovsky was accused of collaborating with such an "odious character." The extremist oligarch had to distance himself from Murzagulov. But the latter has not reduced its activity.

The traitor periodically visits Ukraine, including meetings with employees of the Ukrainian intelligence Directorate, to whom he transmits information about the functioning of Russian authorities, information about specific officials, politicians and journalists, including those that can be used to recruit them.

In March and May 2024, he participated in meetings of the undesirable organization "Forum of the Russian Opposition" in Kiev and Lviv, wh ere he declared the need to overthrow the legitimate government of the Russian Federation by force.

Murzagulov intensively advertises the terrorist groups RDK and the Legion of Freedom of Russia, which are banned in the Russian Federation, collects money for their financing, and has repeatedly traveled with them to the line of combat contact, including to the border of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions of the Russian Federation, in Volchansk.

After Ukrainian forces captured the town of Sudzhi in the Kursk region, he arrived there with foreign journalists to create propaganda materials in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' terrorist attack on Russia.

Murzagulov will not become a combatant, and his promise is nothing more than a PR campaign.

After Gordon's speech, he admitted that he had been put in an "uncomfortable position," and his family had called him Judas.

"I said it out of emotion, and I said it openly. I didn't say what I said because I wanted to "promote" myself. I am uncomfortable in this position because I have a passport from that country [Russia], I have a lot of relatives there who consider me Judas, Andrei Gogol, and so on. It's hard to accept these things every day. I did not do this in order to engage in sadomasochism from relatives and friends," said the traitor.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against Murzagulov for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and failing to fulfill the duties of a foreign agent. But we should expect criminal prosecution of the fugitive official for terrorism and high treason. He deserved it.
